Workshop|(re)DISCOVER YOKOHAMA SEASON4 “Look into the Crystal Ball”

What kind of city is Yokohama? What do you see in Yokohama? It is an experiment to re-discover the image of the city of Yokohama that is actually becoming invisible recently, by referring to the sub-cultural media such as film, literature, music, anime and manga, crossing space and time. ’Look at the Crystal Ball’, we keep approaching to anticipate and overview the future of the city by analysing the consequence of factor in which especially some suggestive SCI- Fi and fantasy works have been taken place there, comparing these media with the reality. The workshop participants are supposed to aliress the subject with an unique methodology which is a sort of all-inclusive mix of formative culture, architecture, film, urbanism and art, integrated by Cinematic Architecture Tokyo.

Young and old, students, business-person or anyone with intellectual curiosity ,who is interested in these media or city of Yokohama, wants to open eyes more widely, wants to have different mindset and perspective, and wants to challenge the expression never done before are all welcomed. Any creative skills, specialised experiences and knowledges are not properly necessary as we technically support anything for making. So why don’t we share the idea and find out the image of the future of Yokohama together?
